Why did you join BlackInk IT?
There were many reasons I decided to join the BlackInk team, but none of them compare to the feeling I received from my second interview. I was able to meet all of the staff and had never received such a warm welcoming. Even before coming onboard, I got a sense of what the “BlackInk Way” meant and that was something I wanted to be a part of. They emphasized morality and customer focus as top priorities which seem to be afterthoughts for a lot of similar industries. Another opportunity was available to me before I accepted my position here and every day I grow more assured that I made the right choice.
What unique experiences and projects have you been involved in at BlackInk IT?
The most unique project I have worked on thus far would be the network install for a coal burning electrical facility in Richmond, IN. A Carmel, IN based company acquired this location and therefore wanted to incorporate the new facility’s network into their own. I had never been in a coal burning electrical plant before and it was very exciting. I learned about the facility’s unique policies and procedures that needed to be incorporated into the new network design. It was a fun challenge and I look forward to many more like it.
What is your favorite BlackInk IT perk?
My favorite BlackInk perk is the exposure to various products and technologies available. Since I’ve been here, I’ve been had the ability to work with any product that would best suit the needs of our customers. This has really allowed me to expand my knowledge base and provide more well-rounded support.
What is unique about BlackInk IT?
I feel the most unique trait of BlackInk is the level of care. Whether it relates to the customer or our internal staff, BlackInk really cares about our goals and how we get there. The management team continuously affirms a team vibe while finding new ways to make our customers’ lives easier. These are not common attributes for our industry and these efforts don’t go unnoticed.
